Daniel Deutsch

Daniel’s career path combines technology, intuition, and the pursuit of inner presence. Born in Austria, he studied law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Artificial Intelligence at Johannes Kepler University Linz. These two disciplines demand precision and systemic thinking, and today they find a new language in his artistic work. After years spent in technology and research projects, his focus increasingly shifted to the boundaries between the digital and the material: exploring how a machine-generated idea takes shape in wood.

His works have been exhibited in Vienna and beyond, in contrast and dialogue with traditional craftsmanship as well as in contemporary contexts. Daniel does not follow a linear path, but rather a cyclical process of research, failure, and renewal. For him, each exhibition is less a presentation than part of an ongoing meditation: a space where the dialogue between material, machine, and human becomes visible. His career remains an experiment in flux, driven by the same attitude with which he works: focused, open, uncompromisingly present.
