Daniel Deutsch

Daniel's art thrives on the tension between control and letting go. His wood reliefs emerge in a state of quiet presence, where thought falls silent and perception begins. In the creative process, time becomes meaningless. What matters is the moment itself, in which material and vision converge.

The wood follows its own path, and Daniel accompanies it. Not as the master of the process, but as an attentive witness. From this approach arises a natural lightness: rigorous precision meets intuitive movement, and in the interplay of opposites, clarity and chaos find balance.

But behind the calm lies determination. Every cut, every line, every detail is driven by discipline and the energy of creation. The work doesn't grow by chance, but from unwavering dedication. From the willingness to confront the unknown and find form within it.

His art is both an invitation and a reminder: to pause, to touch, to breathe, and to experience the moment when the visible and the invisible merge. For true form arises not from control, but from trust in the flow of creation.

Statement

" I create art at the intersection of tradition and innovation, where artificial intelligence acts as a creative partner, helping to make the invisible visible and the digital more tangible. "

biography

Daniel's career path combines technology, intuition, and the search for inner presence. Born in Austria, he studied law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and artificial intelligence at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. These two disciplines demand precision and systems thinking, and they now find a new language in his artistic work. After years in technology and research projects, his focus increasingly shifted to the boundaries between the digital and the material: exploring how a machine-generated idea takes shape in wood.

His works have been exhibited in Vienna and beyond, in contrast to and dialogue with traditional craftsmanship as well as in contemporary contexts. Daniel doesn't follow a linear path, but rather a cyclical process of research, failure, and reinvention. For him, each exhibition is less a presentation than part of an ongoing meditation: a space where the dialogue between material, machine, and human becomes visible. His career remains an experiment in flux, driven by the same attitude with which he works: focused, open, and uncompromisingly present.
