Our partner artists, galleries, and universities (sellers) ship artworks worldwide using reputable shipping providers such as DHL, UPS, FedEx, or local postal services. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are determined individually for each artwork and are displayed on the product page or during checkout. Costs depend on:

  • The size and weight of the artwork
  • The delivery destination (domestic, EU, or international)
  • The shipping method (Standard, Express, or Special Handling)

Note: Certain delicate or oversized artworks may require special packaging or handling, resulting in higher shipping costs. These will be clearly communicated before purchase.

Delivery Times

Delivery times depend on the seller's location and the customer’s destination:

  • Austria and within the EU: Approximately 7-14 business days
  • International: Approximately 14-30 business days

Custom-made or personalized artworks may require additional production time, which will be specified in the product description.

Note: Delays may occur due to customs clearance, local holidays, or unforeseen circumstances.

Packing & Handling

Our artists and shipping partners take great care to securely package each artwork to ensure safe delivery. For fragile or high-value items, specialized packaging and additional handling will be used as necessary.

Shipping Confirmation & Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number. You can use this number to track your shipment online.

Damages During Shipping

Please inspect your artwork immediately upon delivery. If you notice any damage caused during transit:

  1. Report the damage within 48 hours of receiving the package.
  2. Contact us via email at office@artrethought.com.
  3. Include clear photos of the damaged artwork and packaging.

We will coordinate with the shipping provider and the artist to resolve the issue promptly.

Returns & Refunds

Initiating a Return

To initiate a return, please contact us at office@artrethought.com within 14 days of receiving your artwork. Include:

  • Your order number
  • The artwork’s name
  • Your reason for return

We will guide you through the return process and provide all necessary details.

Condition of Returned Items

Artworks must be returned in their original condition (undamaged and unaltered). Ensure the artwork is securely packaged to prevent damage during return shipping. We recommend using the original packaging if possible.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, unless:

  • The artwork arrives damaged
  • There was an error in the shipment

Refund Processing

Once the returned artwork is received and inspected, we will issue a refund to your original payment method.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after the return is confirmed.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued.

Non-Returnable Items

Custom-made or personalized artworks are excluded from returns, unless they arrive damaged or defective.

International Shipping & Customs

For orders outside the European Union, import duties, taxes, or additional fees may apply. These charges are determined by the customs authorities of the recipient country and are the responsibility of the collector.
