Lara Prosoroff

Lara is a talented artist originally from Vienna whose passion for art has been a constant in her life for many years. One of her greatest passions is sketching, a form of expression that has allowed her to explore and deepen her understanding of the human body. Through her work, she has become particularly fascinated by how the human form can convey emotion, aesthetics and individuality.

Lara was part of the art18 exhibition as a Senior Art Student in 2017 where her work was displayed as a representation of her growth and exploration in the art world. She has also studied at the Florence Academy of Art focusing on portraiture and technique where she honed her skills in capturing the nuances of the human figure. Additionally, she has attended the Malakademie Schloss Goldegg further expanding her artistic knowledge and techniques.

Lara’s artistic practice is not limited to her formal studies. She has also gained valuable experience in the world of art through her work in auction houses where she deepened her understanding of the art market and the value of different works. Her education culminated in a Master’s degree in International Art and Cultural Management from Rome, a program that helped her bridge her artistic skills with a broader understanding of the cultural and economic aspects of the art world.

In her artwork, Lara uses a variety of mediums, primarily pencil, charcoal and watercolor. She is particularly drawn to using sketching as a medium to explore the emotional depth and physicality of her subjects, always aiming to bring out the raw beauty and complexity of the human form.
