Mirriam Domocos
biography
Mirriam Domocos developed a strong connection to painting at a young age, attending the art branch of the Boerhaavegasse III Gymnasium until she was 14, where she deepened her artistic skills early on.
At the same time, she discovered her passion for natural sciences and, after transferring to the HBLVA17 Rosensteingasse, specialized in biochemistry and molecular biotechnology.
In 2024, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Applied Medical Sciences at University College London, followed by a Research Master's in Physiology, Anatomy, and Genetics at the University of Oxford, which she completed in March 2026.
Despite all these years, she never lost her deep love for art and painting. For a long time, she deliberately kept her work private before she began to make her artistic practice public and pursue it professionally.
Today, she explores and develops a visual language dedicated to depicting human connection and love in its various facets. She strives for a moment of lightness, warmth, and inner peace, creating light-filled, intimate atmospheres rooted in emotion and self-discovery.
In addition to her work as an artist and researcher, Mirriam Domocos also works internationally as a model. This additional perspective on body, expression, and presence subtly shapes her artistic vision.
Statement
"My painting is a quiet escape into a world of tranquility in all its forms - delicate, unprotected and full of longing, between security, naive devotion and the silent traces of what remains. The creative gives me strength, fulfills me and brings joy into every area of my life."
